The Annual Charity Boxing Dinner goes from strength to strength, with each year being bigger and better than the last.

In February 2016, 371 guests attended the event, sponsored by Ham & High Property, raising an incredible £160,000 for both Norwood and Paskin Children’s Trust.

The star-studded evening – held at the prestigious Lancaster London Hotel – saw boxing legends, business professionals, and celebrities turn out to help these causes, including Colin McMillan and David Baddiel.

And it was David Baddiel who provided the laughs, with a fantastic stand-up routine before the boxing got underway.

The main event saw three bouts take place, with contests across bantamweight, super-middleweight, and light-heavyweight divisions.
On the night, Hasan Karkadi beat Chris Nixon, Ashley Brace beat Petra Castkova, and Morgan Jones beat Luke Allon – with all boxers playing their part in a memorable evening.

Guests also saw veteran boxing coach Lenny Hagland receive a richly-deserved Henry Cooper Award in recognition of 25 years’ dedication to the sport.

Alongside the boxing, the event featured a raffle, a silent auction, and a live auction, with sensational prizes including a Formula One experience for four people, a three-night stay at Marbella’s exclusive Puento Romano Beach Resort, and a one-off signed disc from Oscar-nominated Sam Smith.

All in, the 2016 Annual Charity Boxing Dinner was a roaring success, and – speaking at the event – former featherweight champion Colin McMillan said; “It was fantastic to see the leading lights of the boxing community come together to support these two incredible charities.”
